CGen Group is dedicated to environmental excellence and pollution prevention, meeting or exceeding relevant environmental regulatory requirements, and purchasing products with greater recycled content with lower toxicity and packaging that reduces the use of natural resources.
CGen Group gives preference to purchasing raw materials, products and services that have the following ecologically friendly attributes with acceptable parameters for the price, quality, and delivery:
- Maximizes post-consumer recycled content
- Minimizes use of natural resources in production and packaging while minimising waste and pollution
- Are durable, recyclable, reusable, and can be repurposed
- Are available within close proximity to minimise transportation
The group favours suppliers who share our values and strive to improve their environmental performance, provide environmentally preferable products, and can document the supply chain impacts of their efforts.
In situations where the most environmentally preferable product is unavailable or impractical/unfeasible, secondary considerations include the ecologically and socially responsible management practices of suppliers and producers. Environmentally preferable purchasing is part of our long-term commitment to the environment.
